Rotation tips

If you need to rotate objects or images, you can easily do so and get just the look you want.

Select and drag using the green rotation handle.

Hold down the Shift key as you drag, to rotate in 15-degree increments.

Hold down the Ctrl key as you drag, to rotate around the bottom middle handle, instead of the top one.

On the Drawing toolbar, choose Draw > Rotate and choose Rotate Left 90° or Rotate Right 90°. Or, you can use the Picture toolbar to rotate left 90°.

Double-click to open the Format AutoShape dialog box. On the Size tab, enter a rotation value in the Rotation text box. Click Preview to see the result before clicking OK.

Note: Some of these tips are from my book, How to Do Everything with PowerPoint 2003. Others are from Cutting Edge PowerPoint For Dummies, by Geetesh Bajaj.
