For several years, I created backgrounds and offered them as free downloads. Now, my emphasis is on training people to present more effectively, but the page with the backgrounds is still on my website. It’s hidden, because there aren’t any links to it, so I’m going to share the secret with you.
Also, I used to offer a free e-booklet, called “5 Easy Sure-Fire Backgrounds.” I’ve updated that e-booklet through PowerPoint 2010 and included information on what I call “unbackgrounds,” which are slides with no background (plain white). You can now sign up to get that free e-booklet on the same page–and subscribe to my PowerPoint Tips Newsletter. (If you’re already a subscriber, you won’t get duplicate e-mails.)
This page is consistently in my top 20 on my website. How do people find it? Just by searching! Since it is so popular, I thought I’d tell you about it.
Free PowerPoint Backgrounds has backgrounds, templates, and a few themes. Either you click the image and just download the file or you click the image to see a larger version of it and then download that. The page has 24 backgrounds, so take your pick. I hope you like them!
Go to the Free PowerPoint Backgrounds page and see for yourself. On the right, you see the first few rows of backgrounds.
I’m new to power point and love how you walk a newbie through your tips. At the end of your presentation I say to myself “I can do that!”
